Tie Fabrics
The weaving of Tie Fabrics is still the largest part of our business and one which we have invested heavily in over the last 20 years. Each week, we weave fabric for more than 30,000 ties, which is split over both jacquard and dobby looms. We invest in new machinery most years, which has left us with a highly flexible, efficient and high quality factory.
Contract Furnishing Fabrics
DHJ Weisters Ltd diversified into the weaving of Contract Furnishing Fabrics in 2003 and now manufactures up to 5000 metres (140cms/55″ wide) per week. These are available for exclusive confinement by negotiation. We have an extensive colour and count range in warps and wefts and a flexible range of jacquard sizes, including a 70 cm repeat. Dress Brocades
DHJ Weisters Ltd is now the only UK weaver of Brocades for the Bridal and Eveningwear market. We weave both on black and white warps in a choice of endages. We supplement our UK woven fabrics with an extensive range of imported mainly plain qualities, which can be viewed in Bridal Fabrics. We produce designs on a regular basis for sale to the trade on a exclusive basis. If this is of interest, sale of open designs is possible by negotiation.
Neck Ties
DHJ Weisters Ltd are expert Tie Manufacturers, whether it be for Woven, Printed or Knitted in either Silk or Polyester. Our expert staff will guide you through the various choices so that you find the best solution. We make ties up both in our Macclesfield Sewing Factory and offshore, typically for larger, more price conscious orders.
Bow Ties
We make both Ready Tied Bow Ties and Self Tie Bow Ties in bespoke designs in both polyester and silk. Woven fabrics are typically used but we also on occasion use printed designs. The most traditional designs are either all over stripes or all over motifs but it is of course possible to make them with a single motif on both wings or just on one wing. Stripes normally run diagonally. We offer a choice of sizes and shapes of wings.
Scarves & Hankies
Dye Printed Scarves are a great accessory for a lady’s outfit and can transform an otherwise dark plain suit and add to the individual’s air of professionalism. We use a variety of different fabric qualities in both silk and polyester and offer a range of sizes and shapes. CMT (Cut, Make and Trim)
Our Sewing Facility is located in central Macclesfield. Originally established in order to make up the fabric we weave in our Darwen weaving mill, we also make up garments, using fabric sourced from elsewhere. Our products include Ties, Clip on Ties, Cravats, Waistcoats, Scrunchies and Bow-Ties (both pre-tied and self tie), although our highly skilled team can adapt to most requests. We employ approx 20 people and make in the region of 8,000 units each week. The factory is managed by Emma Stanway. Our normal opening hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 9-12 on a Friday.
We have developed our Trevira furnishing fabric ranges with Richard at Weisters for some time now. Very knowledgeable and creative, I can’t recommend this company enough.
